I saw Kai in a pet shop a few months after my last previous rat died.  She BIT the pet shop guy!  He grabbed her when she didn't see him, and she turned around in surprise and bit him hard.  He kindly, while bleeding, asked if I'd like to pick another rat, but I suspected Kai's motives were pure and she came home with me.  Not only has she never bitten anyone again, she's never acted as if the thought would ever occur to her.  She is very nonaggresive and docile, even with the other girls.  Like most of the girls, she loves to explore, and she's often given more freedom than the others because she's very trustworthy in coming back to me or her cage.  She was never bred, and won't be, but she is a joy in my life and a wonderful girl.
